With four out of five colleagues living within ten miles of their workplace, we recognise the vital role we play in ensuring our communities are healthy, safe and resilient. Ever since we began trading in 1986, we have actively supported a range of national and local charities. As we have grown, we have found ourselves in the privileged position of being able to deepen our support of the communities we operate in, particularly with those at risk of being left behind. Our work with NEETs, the homeless, military veterans and those who have been involved in the criminal justice system, has created opportunities for hundreds of people to get into work and feel a valued part of their community.

Climate change and resource scarcity are the most pressing long-term issues facing humanity today. As a purpose-driven business, we recognise our responsibility in eliminating our own carbon-footprint and supporting our clients to do the same.

We have already taken positive steps in this area, increasing our recycling rate by over 50%, using chemical-free cleaning in over a quarter of our contracts and converting almost two-thirds of our fleet to electric or hybrid vehicles. But we know this is not enough.

In 2021, we will be working with colleagues, clients, suppliers and civil-society to put together a new social charter for Atlas, including a roadmap to carbon neutrality by 2030. If you are interested in supporting us on this exciting ambition then please do get in touch.
