Children’s Basics Charitable Drive

Sometimes the simplest ideas make a real difference. In May, colleagues at our Northern Hub supported Wood Street Mission’s Family Basics campaign by donating brand new underwear for children aged 4 to 16.

From 18 to 31 May, a collection point was set up in the hub, giving colleagues an easy way to contribute to a cause that helps families across Greater Manchester facing financial hardship. While underwear is an everyday essential, it is one of the most requested and least donated items through family support services.

Thank you to everyone who took part and donated. Every contribution will help Wood Street Mission provide children with the basics they need, while offering a little extra support to families who need it most.
