Project : Commercial Cleaning

Commercial and clinical cleaning is carried out at two Merck owned sites in Glasgow and Irvine.

Our cleaning staff and Contract Manager recognise the potential health and safety risks in operating within a biopharmaceutical environment, as well as potential contamination of end products should our staff not perform to the highest standard. Additionally, staff providing cover within this site receive site specific and health and safety induction training, provided collaboratively by both parties, and are only allowed to work on site once the Merck representative is satisfied of their capability.

In addition to office and reception area cleaning, we provide clinical cleaning to areas such as:

Production Areas and Powder Room

Routine floor cleaning, scrubbing and brushing in an area where drugs are manufactured, where attention to detail is critical. We provide rapid responsive cleaning to any spillages that occur within Merck’s business operations.

Warehouse and Finished Goods Room

Cleaning within the warehouses requires our operatives to wear full PPE (safety helmets, safety footwear), due to potential risk of falling products from high shelves.

With our staff cleaning the lower shelving, and Merck staff cleaning higher shelving, a vigilant approach is required to the movement of forklifts and vehicles throughout the warehouse.

Room-Temperature Phosphorescence

Client staff and vehicles are present on-site at all times in some sites, with the general public accessing the retail parks 24/7 – and health and safety at the forefront of our service delivery.
