Hotel Cleaning at The Ned
“We are family” – one of the Atlas core values, which emphasises the importance of relationships. This central value really comes to life at Number 27, Poultry in the City of London – the splendid address of The Ned hotel, where we look after Back of House.
The hotel’s unusual name recalls the architect, Sir Edwin “Ned” Lutyens, who designed this awe-inspiring, Grade I-listed building in 1924 – all 29,450 square metres of it!

Pictured here is Atlas Hospitality’s Elder Statesman, Maurice Hart, alongside Assistant Back of House Manager, Abdul Samura, who arrived in England in 2003.
Abdul worked for several cleaning companies, before joining the extensive Wembley Stadium contract run by Comprehensive Cleaning, a business owned by one Maurice Hart, prior to its later transformation into becoming Atlas Hospitality.
Abdul worked for Maurice for about 5 years, before the ‘poacher turned gamekeeper’, when he was asked to join The Ned as Back of House Manager in May 2017. It says so much about the quality of relationships that Maurice and his team create, nurture, and develop that he and Abdul still have such a close and friendly connection.
And the story continues to grow, as Atlas Hospitality has just been awarded the entire Front of House/Public Areas contract by The Ned – and if you stop to consider the hotel’s dimensions, you’ll get an appreciation of the scale of what we have been asked to take on.
Long may the relationship between Atlas and The Ned continue to flourish!
