We’re pleased to have recently welcomed Jonathan Blake, Gas Engineer, and John Hourigan, F‑Gas Engineer, who join us in the London region to support our work across the portfolio.
Their arrival strengthens our mobile capability and enhances the resilience and responsiveness we provide to our customers. When we welcome new people to our teams, the first few days on-site are spent building connections with colleagues and clients. We depend on these strong relationships to deliver effective planned maintenance, reactive support, and project engineering. These early conversations help integrate new starters and ensure our teams can support the portfolio with confidence and clarity.
As our Mobile Engineering Team continues to grow, we’re increasing our capacity to support clients where and when they need us. More engineers on the road means greater coverage, faster response times, and more flexibility to deliver both planned and reactive works without compromising service levels. For our clients, this means more support available and the confidence that we’re equipped to meet growing demands across their portfolios.
Jonathan Blake and John Hourigan join Jon Bert’s team (our existing Regional Engineering Manager).
With three “Johns” now working closely together, the client felt this was “just too many Johns” and has since adopted a more practical way to differentiate them. Jonathan Blake, our Gas Engineer, is now known as ‘Jon Hot’, while John Hourigan, who specialises in F-Gas and air conditioning, has become ‘John Cold’. As a business that prides itself on responding to client feedback, we’ve updated their employment records accordingly.
Jason Shaw, Head of Engineering, commented: “It’s great to see our Mobile Engineering team continuing to grow. Bringing Jonathan and John on board not only strengthens our technical capability but adds depth to the relationships we’re building across the portfolio. For us, growth is about people first. Building a team that works well together, supports our clients, and delivers consistently.”
